WOW IT'S BEEN THAT LONG!

I can't believe my last entry was in January! Well i guess i can, myspace has taken over the world. I heard a song recently that has just, man it got to me. Sometimes in ministry you can lose perspective of the important things. Heartaches and trials come your way, you worry about how your going to support your ministry financially, satan sits his little traps to set you back, and it all really piles up and it starts pulling you down, and causing you to lose focus of the WHOLE REASON your doing it in the first place. With heartaches and trials... you gotta be like Job and say 'the good Lord giveth and the good Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord.' Financially you have to remember the promise, 'seek ye first the kingdom of God and ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE ADDED UNTO YOU.' When you get set back or satan knocks you down, it's the worst thing he can do, when Christians fall down, they land on their knees, like another song i know "I prepare for battle on my knees." The whole reason i do what i do, it's see people come to know Jesus Christ. That's what the song was about i mentioned first. It's called "PREACH THE WORD" by Gold City. It's message hit me like a ton of bricks. Everything else will fall into place, just "Preach the Word." Stop worrying who you're going to offend with the TRUTH. The world sure doesn't worry about offending us with their evil and lies. It's not about making people feel comfortable. That's dangerous ground. The more comfortable they are, the less room there is for conviction. I serve a God who's never failed me yet, in spite of the many many many times i've let him down. It amazes me how faithful he is even when we're unfaithful!

Preach the Word

Verse
"Paul was weary on his journey, His body frail and weak
The apostle knew the end was near, As he dipped his pen in ink
He wrote Timothy my son, I have fought the fight of faith
Carry on what i've begun, But most of all i pray

Chorus
Preach the Word, Preach the Cross
Preach redemption to a lost and dying world
Lift your voice, unashamed of the Gospel of His Name
Until all have heard, Preach the Word

Verse
Paul and Timothy are gone, but the letters still remain
And the mission that was written down, Calls out to us today
Lift the name of Jesus higher, Until the whole world knows
The story of amazing grace, We are messengers of hope

Repeat Chorus"

Gone Cruising

Gone Cruising

Yes that's right, i'm going on a cruise, believe it or not. I'm the last person anyone would expect to be doing something like that. The only reason i'm going though is to sing. Seems like more and more gospel events are being held on cruises. But i'm not complaining! We're leaving here for New Orleans tomorrow. 10 - 11 hour trip... Then the cruise sails out Saturday and comes back next Thursday. I thought i'd better post something in case our ship pulls a Titanic thing. Although i doubt we'll encounter any ice between New Orleans and Mexico hehe. But still things happen. I want ya'll to know I love you with all my heart and your friendship means SO much to me. When i get back I'll tell ya all about my trip. Catching up on life... Still single and LOVING IT. Naaa, just being patient, letting God open up more doors in ministry before i start looking for a relationship. God has been opening up MANY MANY MANY doors. We get to appear on a live DVD in March so that's exciting. Haven't got to preach as much as i'd like to, but i've got a couple of sermons coming up. Well anyhoo, i've been sick since Sunday, and i don't wanna get on a boat like this, so if ya'll get a chance, say a lil prayer for me. Until next time

Goin on with Jesus

Titles are overated...

that's the best title i could come up with. I've never been the most creative person in the world, but i did, however, write a song a couple of months ago. I'd co-writen one with dad on our first CD, but this one was my first one alone. It'll be on the next CD hopefully. We'd like to make it before next Summer. Anyway God's still openin up doors and it's so amazing to me how he always provides EXACTLY what we need. We had a revival at our church last week that was absolutely amazing. Needs were met, lives were touched, souls saved. We just had a mighty move of God. Speaking of...We sang at a little church in Greenville, TN a few months back and the morning attendence said 25. we sang for about that many that night. 7 or 8 people came to the altar and got saved that night. i mean WOW, so then the Holy Spirit impressed on me to call revival, so we did, for 3 nights. IT WAS GREAT. We sang everynight, and i preached 2x. by the end of that week the crowd was up to 40 and 15 had gotten saved. God's doing some great things in these last days. the end of this month we get to sing at the gatlinburg convention center, this'll be the biggest venue we've ever done, so keep us in your prayers if ya don't mind. I did sell my bass that i mentioned before, too bad all the money will go toward another one. i'm excited it's made by tobias and it's a 6 string, so i gotta learn what to do with it hehe. anyway the lyrics to the song dad and i wrote together will appear below, i'll post my other one later...you can hear it on my myspace actually. www.myspace.com/dustinhdubya or www.myspace.com/thewisecarvers .

Just Can't Help It.

Verse 1
Some people may laugh or even make fun of me
But what they don't know is Jesus can set them free
That lump of clay he'll take and mold
Turn it into solid Gold
And all of your sins will be cast into the deep blue sea

Chorus
No i can't i just can't seem to help it
When the Holy Ghost gets all over me
No i can't i just can't seem to help it
Cause one day real soon up in Heaven I'm gonna be

Verse II
Now when I'm dancin down the isles don't pay no attention to me
I'm just spendin me some time with the man from Gallilee
It's all over me from head to toe
I think i'll run a few more rows
Just praisin my Lord and happy that I'm set free

Repeat Chorus

Bridge
I can't help gettin outta my seat
I can't help movin my feet
I can't help clappin my hands
I can't help sayin amen
I can't help runnin down the isles
I can't help wearin this smile
If you could see the change he's made in me

Repeat Chorus

Have a great one

IN CHRIST
